It was great having Chandler dorm over tonight - they are a loud and fun bunch!!
March 26 is a significant day for those of Bangladeshi heritage - it remembers the beginning of the nine-month war the resulted in their independence in December of 1971. Some friends of ours invited us to a gathering in their home along with many Bangladeshi nationals who work here in Malaysia. We had a great time of learning about some of their history, meeting some of these men and enjoying some great tandoori chicken, biryani rice and dhal. The older man in this picture was very animated as he shared his perspective on the war for independence which occurred in 1971, when he was just 21 years old. Couldn't understand a thing he was saying, but we sure could hear his enthusiasm for the subject!
Great photo Karin - we really enjoyed our time. Yes indeed we are a loud bunch, glad you got to experience the true Chandler crew :) Would love a copy of this pic if I could get it. Thanks again for all you and Bob do to pour into our family :)
